bear with me...
Sorry I have been so slow, I will be writing a summary of the rest of Santiago and Peru at some point - in the meantime, I have added more links to photos from the cruise
I was a PhD student (Earth Sciences) at the British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge in 2007-2008. My degree was joint with the University of Manchester.
I joined the Merchant Navy as an OOCL-sponsored marine engineering cadet studying at South Tyneside in 2008, but after contracting glandular fever, had to unfortunately leave that.
Since then, I have got married, got a cat, discovered an interest in data analysis, got amazingly good at Excel and VBA, and pretty good at SQL, and have started studying CIMA. So my life is a bit more ‘normal’ now but still got that thread of excitement and novelty running through it!
